Sebastian Stumpf

Sebastian Stumpf is involved – both conceptually and physically – with urban environments. He photographs himself in narrow gaps between skyscrapers and films himself jumping from bridges, or he lies down as a living sculpture with his face down in puddles or floats motionless in a basin of water. His movements leave no trace. They refer to boundaries and possible transitions found in architectural space and our perception of still or moving images.

*1980 in Würzburg (D), lives and works in Leipzig and Berlin
